Work has begun in earnest on the Canouan temporary Jetty.
Chief Execitive Officer of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Port Authority Carl James, tells NBC News that the jetty will be enhanced with a concrete surface. The project is being done in collaboration with the Gumbolimbo Group and the Ministry of Works.
James says this new concrete surface will be easier to maintain, clean and safer for the residents of Canouan.
