Deputy Chief Agricultural Officer Colville King has said the government continues to invest in sustainable farming to increase food security and ensure that Vincentians have access to affordable and healthy foods.
He made this statement while speaking at the distribution ceremony for production implements and hurricane beryl recovery consultation.
The Deputy Chief Agricultural Officer said that helping farmers increase their production will positively impact food security by making locally farmed foods more affordable, thus resulting in a healthier population and a stronger workforce.
King added that as part of efforts to encourage farmers to utilize the resources to the maximum, the government will be inviting them to a series of training.
