Several activities will be held throughout the Caribbean to celebrate the 78th anniversary of United Nations Day.
Speaking on the Face to Face morning program on NBC Radio Resident Coordinator of the UN Didier Trebucq said that they would hold a flag raising ceremony in Barbados tomorrow along with several colleges based in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Mr Trebucq stated that the UN has played an important role in the region with small island states to build resilience and helping them face the many challenges that Small Island Developing States (SIDS) are facing like the climate crisis.
United Nations Day is an annual commemorative day to reflect on the official creation of the United Nations on 24 October 1945.
