An Environmentally Friendly Schools Competition was officially launched here today by the Central Water and Sewage Authority, CWSA.
The CWSA is implementing the initiative in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Unit, the Public Health Department, the St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited, VINLEC and Coreas Distribution Limited.
Delivering remarks at this morning’s launch, Public Relations and Marketing Manager at the CWSA Joan Ryan said the initiative will be hosted annually.
Ms. Ryan said the program will see students and teachers coming together to resolve issues of waste management and water conservation among others.
