Police Commissioner Colin John has made it clear that the protest held in Kingstown last week Thursday August 5th was illegal.
He made the disclosure during the On The Beat programme aired on NBC Radio last night.
Commissioner John conceded that the Police personnel did not effectively fulfill their mandate on the day of the protest.
