The Gender Affairs Division will host an Evening of Excellence at the Prime Minister’s residence tonight to recognize outstanding Women in the Vincentian Society
The event is being held to coincide with International Women’s Day to be observed on Sunday March 8th.
Research Officer at Gender Affairs Division, Makini Barrow, said the Day serves as an opportunity to recognize the contributions of women globally.
She says the Division will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure the continued upliftment of women in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Miss Barrow said greater emphasis must be placed on recognizing women who are outstanding in their fields.
The Evening of Excellence will be held with the theme “When Women Roar”
It will be held at the Prime Minister’s Residence from seven tonight and will be broadcast live on NBC Radio.
