Certificates will be presented today to some 40 male participants in a UNESCO-sponsored Male Education and Empowerment Program, co-ordinated by the Department of Adult and Continuing Education, within the Ministry of Education.
The certificates will be handed out at a Closing Ceremony/Graduation to be held at the Fisheries Conference Room, from 2:00 p.m.
The event will hear brief remarks from Director of the Adult and Continuing Education Department, Kathleen Jeffers and Secretary General of UNESCO, Janeil Henry-Rose. The feature address will be delivered by Businessman, Mark Lulley.
The participants received training in Electrical Installation (Westwood Training Center), Auto Mechanics ( SVGCC TECVOC Division) and Plumbing (Upper Cane Hall Learning Resource Center).
The Instructors Boston Williams, Raffique Browne and Ray Victory will each present an overview of their respective programs, while three graduands will speak on the impact of the training.
