Louise Mitchell a prominent Female Lawyer in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is appealing to parents to be mindful of the way they discipline their children.
Miss Mitchell tells NBC News, sometimes the way that parents discipline their children can be described as abuse and this can lead to the children becoming violent.
She said sometimes single parent mothers are frustrated and they in turn take this anger and frustration out on their kids.
She is appealing to these parents to think about how their actions will influence the abused children in the long run.
Miss Mitchell said on many occasions because children experience abuse growing up they in turn grow up to become abusers themselves.
She added that other children who grew up witnessing abuse as well can become abusers too, because they grow up thinking that type of behavior is accepted.
