The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Environment Fund is encouraging Vincentians to support local Tourism.
This appeal was made by Director of the Fund, Louise Mitchell as her organization continues to promote the issues of conservation and environmental protection throughout the country.
During last year the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Environment Fund and the Yanagil Education and Development Fund assisted two fishermen from the community of Barrouallie to launch their Whale and Wildlife Watching Tour Businesses.
Miss Mitchell said these tours are now fully operational and she is encouraging locals and visitors alike to support these local Tourism based businesses.
