Vincentian students who have an interest in applying for scholarships to study in Taiwan, will have an opportunity to learn more about the process, and about life in Taiwan this week.
The information will be provided at seminar and presentation to be hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of China, Taiwan.
According to information from the Taiwanese Embassy, the sessions will be held today and tomorrow at Frenches House.
Today’s session will focus on the procedures for applying for the two Scholarship Programmes offered by the Taiwanese Government, while the session on Tuesday will hear presentations on the experiences of persons who have studied in Taiwan.
The Embassy says the scholarships are offered by the Government of the Republic of China, Taiwan to support knowledge acquisition and to enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Taiwan.
The Scholarships are offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan and the International Co-operation and Development Fund, ICDF of Taiwan.
The sessions today and tomorrow are both slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
