Today is being observed as International Human Rights Day.
The United Nations is highlighting the role of young people in leading the way to a better future for all people for this year’s observance of the Day.
Here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a March and Rally will be held in Georgetown to commemorate the day.
Coordinator of Gender Affairs LaFleur Quammie said the event also marks the culmination of the sixteen days of activism against Gender based violence.
Human Rights Day is being observed under the theme “Youth Standing Up for Human Rights”.
