Prime Minister and Minister of National Security Dr. Ralph Gonsalves has highlighted the critical importance of maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety and security of citizens.
The Prime Minister spoke on the issue, as he delivered the feature address yesterday at the closing ceremony of the second phase of the 2019 Basic Law Enforcement Officers’ Course.
The Course was co-ordinated by the Regional Security System (RSS) Training Institute, and the closing ceremony was held at the Old Montrose Police Training School Parade Ground.
The Prime Minister noted that law enforcement personnel play an important role in preserving democracy.
Twenty-nine students from six regional countries completed the 2019 Basic Law Enforcement Officers’ Course, which was conducted in two phases.
The first phase was held in Barbados from September 16th to November 22nd, while the second phase was held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines from November 25th to December 6th.
