A Tree Planting exercise was held at the Kingstown Public Library last week to coincide with activities to observe 122 years of existence of the Kingstown Board.
Staff at the Forestry Department in the Ministry of Agriculture assisted with the planting of Caribbean Pine Tree at the Library compound.
Accountant at the Kingstown Board and representative of the Organizing Committee Marlon Nanton said the activity was held with the aim of increasing the Vegetation and Esthetics of the City.
The Kingstown Board Week of Activities climaxed on Friday November 22nd, with an activity dubbed Healthy Village at the Central Market in Kingstown, which showcased a range of local produce.
The activities were held under the theme “A Time to Reflect, Re-Organize and Re-Energize”.
