The Mayreau Government School has benefitted from a donation from the local Promotional Group, MRI-6, which is intended to provide assistance for the students.
Member of the Group, Keith Boyea said they donated five thousand dollars towards transportation and accommodation for students attending school in Union Island and Mainland St. Vincent.
Mr. Boyea said the funds were raised from the Carnival Escape event, which is held during the Carnival Season every year.
Several Groups and Organizations have benefited from donations from the MRI-6 Group. These include the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital; the School for Children With Special Needs; the Lewis Punnett Home; TheNational Society of and For the Blind; and The National Parks Authority.
