The recently launched National Quality Policy is expected to complement the government’s thrust to promote economic growth in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
That’s according to Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Industry, Raymond Ryan, while addressing Wednesday’s launch of the policy and a Private Sector Stakeholders Consultation.
Mr. Ryan emphasized the importance of quality assurance in the national economic development plan and said locally produced goods must adhere to the requisite standards in order to compete on the international market.
