St. Vincent and the Grenadines is among countries around the World observing World Blood Donor Day today.
The day has been set aside by the World Health Organisation, WHO, to thank voluntary blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood and also to raise awareness of the need for regular blood donations
Medical Technologist at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, Kamala Questelles said the procedure for giving blood is very simple.
The WHO said the transfusion of blood and blood products save millions of lives every year.
