Today is National Heroes Day and the Ministry of Culture is appealing to people all across St. Vincent and the Grenadines to support ALL of the activities which are being held today, to observe the day.
Chief Cultural Officer Anthony Theobalds said the activities will kick off at 7:30 this morning with the Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Obelisk at Dorsetshire Hill.
He says this ceremony is held each year to celebrate the life of Paramount Chief, Joseph Chatoyer, this country’s National Hero.
Mr. Theobalds said following this morning’s Wreath Laying ceremony there will be a number of activities held in Communities across the country especially in Fancy and Greggs.
He is encouraging people to patronize all these activities.
