Immigration Officers have been urged to be mindful of the pivotal role they play in securing the borders of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
The encouragement came from Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, during his address at the opening of a two-day border security workshop held this week under the theme “Forging Ahead with Determination”.
The Prime Minister said it is important that the Officers be cognizant of the ever changing environment.
The Passports and Immigration Department workshop was attended by Senior and Middle level Immigration Officers.
Topics covered during the sessions included: human-trafficking, CARICOM, interviewing techniques, leadership, legal documents and customer service among others.
