The local Police Force will be moving to train and designate Media Ambassadors to improve the level of communication between the Police Force and the public.
Word of this has come from the Head of the Police Public Relations and Complaints Department, Assistant Superintendent of Police Junior Simmons.
ASP Simmons was delivering remarks on Tuesday, at the opening of a workshop aimed at improving the communication skills of Police Officers.
He disclosed that these Police Officers will be responsible for enhancing the relationship between the Police and various sectors of the society.
The two one-day training workshops, held yesterday and today at the Fisheries Conference Room, targeted Gazetted Officers and Rank and File Officers of the Police Force.
