Former Principals and Teachers of the Marriaqua Government School were recognized yesterday for their outstanding contribution to the school.
The Educators received the awards at the School’s 122nd Anniversary Thanksgiving Service, at the Roman Catholic Church at Cane End.
The Principals are Emil Telfer; Ena John; Elizabeth Walker; Erene Richardson; and Kathleen Joyles.
The Long Service Awards were presented to Teachers – Noreen Knights; Camella Smart; Leontus Robinson; and Brian Jackson.
A special Appreciation Award was presented to former Education Minister Girlyn Miguel; and Eileen Bailey.
A Recognition Award was given to Catherine Cordice for being one of the Oldest Past Students of the Marriaqua Government School.
The Thanksgiving Service was held under the theme: Forging Ahead – Achieving Our Dreams 122 Years Strong.
