Young upcoming Musicians will have an opportunity to receive guidance from their more senior counterparts, through the efforts of the as the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
The initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing effort, to ensure that they have the resources to ensure the continued development of the cultural and performing arts.
Assistant Co-ordinator of Cultural and Creative Industries, Orande ‘Bomani’ Charles, discussed this thrust, during the recent launch of the National Secondary School Bands Showcase.
Some 20 school bands are expected to participate in the 2019 edition of the showcase, which will be held on March 23rd at the decommissioned E.T. Joshua Airport at Arnos Vale.
Mr. Charles said a number of local artistes have given their commitment to provide mentorship to young, upcoming musicians.
