The local tourism sector is expected to benefit from a number of initiatives this year, as the Government moves to radically transform the sector.
Word of this came from Finance Minister Camillo Gonsalves, as he presented the 2019 Budget Address in Parliament on Monday.
He noted that these initiatives are already bearing fruit, since this country welcomed over 52-thousand more visitors in 2018, compared with 2017.
Minister Gonsalves alos noted that the tourism sector is continuing to benefit significantly from the Argyle International Airport, AIA.
Minister Gonsalves said more flights will be added this year at the AIA, to further enhance the economic viability of the tourism sector.
