As the global community observes World Cancer Day today, one cancer survivor here is reminding persons that a Cancer diagnosis is not necessarily a death sentence.
Cancer Survivor, Everest Charles, shared her experience on NBC’s Views On Issues Programme yesterday.
The day is being observed under the theme: I Am: And I Will, and seeks to raise awareness on Cancer and enlighten persons on various issues related to the disease.
Mrs. Charles recalled the shock she experienced upon learning of her life-changing diagnosis and said she relied heavily on her faith in God to give her the strength she needed to move forward.
