A new Compost Production Facility was officially opened yesterday at the Orange Hill Agriculture Biotechnology Centre.
The facility was constructed at a cost of 1.5 million EC dollars and is equipped with three bio-digesters for making compost and a steam sterilizing machine for sterilizing soil and other inputs used for vegetable seedling production.
Delivering the feature address at the event, Minister of Agriculture Saboto Caesar expressed gratitude to the Taiwanese Government for its partnership with St. Vincent and the Grenadines over the years.
Meanwhile, Chief Agriculture Officer Ashley Caine, also speaking at the ceremony, commended the Taiwanese Technical Mission for providing support to the Ministry of Agriculture in its quest to diversify the Agricultural Sector.
