The World Pediatric Project (WPP) today wrapped up its Ortho-Scoliosis mission to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Scoliosis is a disorder in which there is a sideways curve of the spine, or backbone. Curves are often S-shaped or C-shaped. In most people, there is no known cause for this curve.
World Pediatric Project (WPP) Director for the Eastern Caribbean – Jaqueline Brown King said some fifty-two children from across the region were evaluated at the start of the Mission on Sunday.
Mrs. Brown- King said eight successful Scoliosis Corrective Surgeries were conducted during the week.
