An appeal has been made for University graduates here to use their tertiary education to contribute to national development.
The appeal has come from the Chairperson of the Scholarship Committee of the General Employees Co-operative Credit Union (GECCU), Dr. Mineva Glasgow.
Dr, Glasgow was delivering remarks at a ceremony held on Wednesday to present Bursaries valued at three thousand dollars each, to five Vincentians, who are pursuing studies at the University of the West Indies Open Camus.
The five recipients of the Bursaries are: Shameka Cambridge, Gabriella Kidd, Ashanna Samuel-Jack, Sudette Lewis and Alroy Harry.
Dr. Glasgow noted that Education is the surest way out of poverty and it is also a key element in national development
