Local Met officials have advised residents and motorists in mountainous areas, near rivers, streams and low lying areas to be prepared, as rainfall accumulations over the next couple of days may trigger flooding and land slippage.
The word of caution came as Vincentians keep a close eye on the weather, as a Tropical Wave continues to affect the Islands.
Met officials said persons can expect generally cloudy conditions with occasional strong gusts near showers along with thunderstorm activity across the country today. Unstable conditions with showers are expected to linger into Friday.
Persons travelling by sea today are being advised to exercise caution for above normal swells and winds.
