Local Statisticians joined their CARICOM counterparts in celebrating Caribbean Statistics Day on Monday October 15th.
This year, Caribbean Statistics Day was observed under the theme: Building Resilience of the Caribbean Community.
To commemorate the Day, the Chief Statistician and Staff joined their colleagues in the OECS region in a week of activities.
Beginning on Tuesday October 16th the Staff of the Statistical Office actively engaged users of data, by highlighting the importance of statistics to the development of people, the sustainability of the environment, and the stability of the economy.
Today the Statistical Office is launching its recently updated website and a report titled: An Overview of the Labour Market of St Vincent and the Grenadines – A Gender Perspective.
The revamped website and report were completed with assistance from Statistics Canada, through a regional project entitled Project for the Advancement of Statistics (PRASC).
