The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will be collaborating with a number of entities to host workshop today, to update stakeholders on the progress of the “new myHAZ app”
Today’s training exercise will be carried out in partnership with the British Geological Survey (BGS), the University of East Anglia (UK) and the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI-SRC)
The objectives of the workshop are: to share findings from the 2017 myVolcano workshop; to introduce the new “myHAZ app” ;to discuss the use of the app at an individual and organizational level; to interact with the new app and gain feedback on current suitability and possible improvements
This workshop is a follow-up to the myVolcano Citizen Science App Workshop held at NEMO’s Conference Room in March last year, to gather feedback on functionality, practicality and usefulness of the data collected by the app.
The information gathered during the feedback was used to inform the development of a new app called “myHAZ app”.
Today’s workshop is scheduled to begin at nine-thirty this morning, at NEMO’s Conference Room.
