Local HIV/AIDS Activist Winfield Tannis-Abbott in Antigua and Barbuda to meet with Health Officials, Donor Agencies and AIDS Program Managers People Living with HIV & AIDS Networks.
Mr. Tannis-Abbott is travelling as Chair for the Caribbean Regional Network of People Living with HIV & AIDS.
Mr. Tannis says the purpose of the meetings are to provide continuous technical support for capacity building and institutional strengthening with network representatives, to build a stronger unified voice for people living with HIV & AIDS.
He will also travel to Barbados, and Jamaica later this month to host similar meetings.
Mr. Tannis-Abbott was recently elected as Chair of the organization at the Annual General Meeting held in Trinidad in July this year.
He will serve as Chair for the next two years until 2020.
