The Port Modernization Project which is to be implemented at Rose Place in Kingstown is said to be progressing smoothly thus far.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves provided an update on the status of the project, as he responded to a question during last week’s meeting of the House of Assembly, noting that the project will cost approximately 100 million U.S dollars.
The Prime Minister said so far, a considerable amount of technical work has been done, and because of the magnitude of the project, there will be implications for the housing stock at Rose Place, between Back Street and Bay Street.
The Prime Minister said the Project will affect manly those persons residing along the sea shore area in Lower Bay Street.
