Three Bills which make up the legal framework for the proposed Medicinal Cannabis Industry here, received their first reading at a meeting of Parliament yesterday.
The Medicinal Cannabis Industry Bill 2018; The Cannabis Cultivation (Amnesty) Bill 2018; and The Permitted Use of Cannabis for Religious Purposes Bill 2018, were read for the first time and sent to a Select Committee.
The Police Amendment Bill 2018 also received its first reading at yesterday’s meeting.
Three Pension Declaration Bills for Silma Williams, Elene Hill and Hudson Bullock were passed at yesterday’s meeting, as well as the Copyright Amendment Bill 2018; the Vincy Table Tennis Foundation Incorporation Bill 2018 and four Church Bills.
Parliament has been adjourned until Thursday October 18th at 10:00am.
