Vincentians are being encouraged to participate in a Walk-for-Freedom, which will be staged here today by media personality Errol Fabien of Trinidad and Tobago, to celebrate thirty years of being sober and drug-free.
A release from the Ministry of Health says Mr. Fabien, who is a Caribbean Entertainer, is staging his Freedom Walk in 15 Caribbean countries.
He intends to walk for two hours in silence in each of these countries, including St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Mr. Fabien arrived here on Wednesday, and is scheduled to leave the state today, following the walk.
While here, he has been involved in a number of advocacy and fundraising activities, and he has also been meeting with government officials, and members of the general public.
Today’s walk is scheduled to begin at 4:30pm at Chatoyer Park, passing through Orange Hill, Overland and back.
Members of the Public have been invited to take part in the event.
