Students who participated in the recently concluded Police Band Summer Programme have been urged to strive for excellence in their endeavours.
The words of encouragement came from Deputy Commissioner of Police Franklyn Joseph, as he delivered remarks at the Closing Ceremony for the programme, held last week at the Old Montrose Police Station.
DCP Joseph noted that one of the aims of the programme was to groom the future leaders of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and he urged the students to set high standards, and work to achieve them.
Some 121 young persons completed the five-week Police Band Summer Programme, which ran from July 23rd to August 24th and was held under the theme: Empowering Young Minds to Be Disciplined, through the Art of Music.
