Club Nuevo, the Organizers of the Canouan Carnival activities, which climaxed recently say their festival for 2019 promises to be even bigger and better than previous hosting.
The festival was held under the theme “The Ultimate Summer Event in the Grenadines”.
President of Club Nuevo, Hansel Henry tells NBC News, this year marks 20 years since they have been hosting Carnival activities in Canouan and they will be implementing some of the suggestions from members of the public for 2019.
He says one of the major changes will be to their Soca Monarch selection process where they will be allowing everyone who does not get picked for the national Soca monarch competition on mainland St. Vincent to be a part of their Soca Monarch dubbed “Bachannal Saturday”.
