Local and regional delegates are now into the third day of working sessions, at a five-day training course being hosted by the National Emergency Management Organisation, NEMO.
NEMO is hosting the Emergency Operations Centre Management Course, in collaboration with the U.S. Agency for International Development/Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance.
The main objective of the course is to expose participants to the discipline of Emergency Operations Centre Management, and the standard operating procedures which govern it.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Director of NEMO, Michelle Forbes noted that Disaster Management Systems must be ready for any eventuality.
The training sessions are being held at the Paradise Beach Hotel Conference Room, and the participants are drawn from Grenada, Dominica, St. Lucia, Antigua/Barbuda; St Kitts/Nevis, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
