The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment will today host the first in a series of meetings to raise awareness on the effects of tobacco use.
The Ministry said the meeting is also being held to disseminate data In relation to tobacco use and exposure to second-hand smoke in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
According to the Ministry, over the years, data collected on tobacco use in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, show that both adults and children are exposed to second-hand smoke.
Today’s meeting is being hosted in collaboration with the Pan American Health organization and will take place at the Conference room of the Ministry of Health from nine this morning.
