Some 2.5 million dollars has been allocated for the construction of a Maritime and Hospitality Institute in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 2018 and 2019.
Word of this came from Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture, Cecil Mckie as he responded to a question in Parliament yesterday.
Minister Mckie said the Institute is being constructed to build capacity and expand the level and diversity of training available in the Hospitality Industry.
He explained that the Institute will be used as a flagship in the Caribbean region to harness the skills of prospective and current employees in the Tourism and Hospitality sector.
