Vincentian youths wishing to participate in the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition are being reminded that the deadline for online submissions is next Friday June 1st.
Managed by The Royal Commonwealth Society since 1883, the competition offers all Commonwealth youth aged 18 and under an opportunity to express themselves through the written word.
This year’s theme; ‘Towards a Common Future’ invites young writers to explore how the Commonwealth can address global challenges and work to create a better future for all citizens.
Local representative for the competition, Jodie Dennie, said entries can be made in the varying forms of literary expression and both students and teachers can all benefit from the competition.
One Winner and Runner-up from both the Senior and Junior categories will be invited to attend Winners’ Week in London.
