Debate on the Attorney General’s Reference Constitutional Questions Bill will continue today at a meeting of Parliament.
The Bill, which has already received its first reading, is intended to provide for the referral of important questions of interpretation of the Constitution and Constitutionality of Legislation enacted by Parliament.
Six other Bills are listed on the Order Paper to be dealt with, including the Calder Williams Pension Bill; which will receive its first reading; and the Vincy Table Tennis Foundation Incorporation Bill which will be read for the second time.
Select Committee Reports will also be tabled for four Private Bills, and twelve questions are listed from the Opposition for oral answers.
Today’s meeting of Parliament is scheduled to begin at ten this morning, and will be broadcast live on NBC Radio.
