Two men have been arrested and charged for illegal drug possession.
Police said Kenvert Pierre, 40 year old Farmer of Campden Park and Khalil Robin, 25 year old Fisherman of Clare Valley were arrested yesterday for Drug Trafficking and Controlled Drug possession.
According to investigations, on 16.05.2018 at 08:26 p.m. at Barrouallie, Pierre and Robin were met in their possession, a controlled drug, 13,909 grammes of cannabis with intent to supply it to another.
The men were charged for having in their possession 13,909 grammes of cannabis for the purpose of Drug Trafficking;
They were also charged for having agreed with each other that the course of conduct shall be pursued, which if the agreement was carried out in accordance with their intent will necessarily amounted to or involved the commission of the offence of Drug Trafficking.
The two men are expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court on 18.05.2018 to answer the charge.
Meanwhile … Police also arrested and charged Ahkino Rhynd, 32 year old Labourer of Canouan for Gross Indecency and Indecent Assault, on 18.05.2018.
According to reports, between 01.04.2018 and 30.04.18 at Canouan, Rhynd allegedly incited a 5 year old minor to commit an act of Gross Indecency.
Rhynd is expected to appear before the Family Court to answer the charges laid against him.
Police arrested and charged Lenroy Caine, 27 year old Electrician of Richland Park for Assaulting a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and for making use of Indecent Language, on 17.05.2018 at 08:40 p.m.
According to investigations, on 05.03.2018 at 07:15 p.m. at Riley, Caine made use of an indecent language in a public place to wit, “The public road”.
Caine, being confronted by police officer PC 496 Desron Dick assaulted him to wit, “By pushing him in the chest”, he being a police officer acting in the due execution of his duty.
Caine also resisted the arrest of PC 496 Dick to wit, “By pulling away”, he being a Police Officer in the due execution of his duty.
Caine is expected to appear before the Mesopotamia Magistrate Court on 25.05.2018 to answer the charges.
