The Methodist Church in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is celebrating Aldersgate this month, to commemorate the conversion of John Wesley on May 24th, and the beginning of the Methodist Movement.
This year, three special events are being held to mark the occasion.
There will be a Service of Renewal, Inspiration and Transformation on Sunday, May 27th, at 2.00pm, at the Kingstown Methodist Church.
There will also be two Conferences scheduled to be held at the Methodist Church Hall. The first is slated Tuesday, May 29th, and will focus on Authentic Spirituality; while the second will be held on Thursday May 31st and will examine the Ecclesiastes Experience. Both events will begin at 6:00pm.
The Guest Preacher and Presenter at all three events will be: Rev. Dr William Watty, a past president of the United Theological College of the West Indies and of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas.
Rev. Dr. Watty is an eminent Caribbean Scholar, Theologian and Preacher, who has studied the Bible extensively, and has published on various Theological Subjects.
The general public has been invited to attend the events, especially those who wish to look at scripture through fresh lenses for profound insight, or to reexamine their own spiritual growth and development.
