Representatives from all Government Agencies are attending the first in a series of consultation, on matters relating to the National Geothermal Project, hosted by the St. Vincent Geothermal Company Limited.
Director of Forestry Fitzgerald Providence, welcomed the consultation saying that Geothermal Energy is important to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The project, which is being held at the Foreign Affairs Conference Room, seeks to provide updates on Environmental and Social issues as well as a review of the upcoming operations, such as civil work and rig mobilization.
A Loan agreement was signed in February 2016 between the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development to set up a Geothermal Power Station here.
