The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has been spending significant sums of money on the Education Sector as part of efforts to provide quality education to students.
Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves spoke about the initiatives at the Official Opening Ceremony for the South Rivers Early Childhood Development Centre and said that for this year, some 130 million dollars will be spent on Early Childhood; Primary; Secondary and Tertiary level education.
The Prime Minister said the monies to finance Primary and Secondary School Education have increased significantly over the years.
The South Rivers Early Childhood Development Centre was constructed under the Basic Needs Trust Fund, BNTF Program, at a cost of 820-thousand dollars.
