A Disaster Plan is currently being implemented in the South Central Windward Constituency, in preparation for the 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season, which opens on June 1st.
Parliamentary Representative for the Constituency, Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar hosted a News Conference today to launch the program.
Minister Caesar said residents of the community will be working together to ensure that they are adequately prepared for a Disaster.

The first aspect of the program was the handing over of forty rain coats which will be used in the constituency during the Hurricane season.
Meanwhile Elford Duncan from Common Sense Radio said they will also be developing a Radio Station dubbed “Common Sense Radio” in the constituency to ensure that communication continues in times of disaster.
Michael Akers, Retired Community Planner, will be heading the Community Disaster program encouraged everyone to be a part of their own community Disaster Management program to strengthen the work being done by the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO).
