Over 2000 persons are reported to have taken part in the Dance 2 Fitness road edition and the Sagicor-Befit 5kRun/Walk held here on April 28th.
The events were held to heighten awareness on the plight of children suffering with juvenile diabetes.
At a Media Conference held on Monday at the Ministry of Health’s Conference Room, organizer of the event Lindon James said he was very pleased with the participation of the public.
According to James, 800 packages were purchased and 15-thousand dollars’ worth of items donated to the Diabetes Association.
Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Luke Browne, congratulated the BeFit Movement for staging a successful event and the President of the Diabetes and Hypertension Association, Rosita King, thanked the Be Fit Movement for the donation.
