The staff of the St. Vincent Electricity Services Limited (VINLEC) will be involved in a number of training sessions next month as part of activities to observe Occupational Health and Safety Month.
The activities will coincide with the April 28th observance of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, and will be held under the theme; “Safety Ties Us Together”.
Speaking at a News Conference yesterday, Chief Executive Officer of Vinlec, Thornley Myers, says the training is forms part of continued efforts to improve the safety standards with the organization.
Mr. Myers says the activities will include the launch of an initiative aimed at improving the safety of persons working directly with electricity.
