The Owia Fisheries Complex, will be leased to the local company Ocean Marine Shipping Agencies Limited in the New Year, but the company will not control the entire facility.
The point was made by Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Saboto Caesar, during his address at a ceremony held on Tuesday, to mark the signing of lease agreements for the Owia and Barrouallie Fishing Centres.
Minister Ceasar some areas of the Owia Fisheires Centre will remain open to the public.
He said this is part of the Ministry’s strategy to develop local businesses, while working closer with communities across the country.
