Key stakeholders from the public and private sectors came together this morning for a one-day seminar, which discussed the possible introduction of electric Vehicles in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Forum was hosted by the Energy Unit in the Prime Minister’s Office in collaboration with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and the USAID Caribbean Clean Energy Program, under the theme Private Sector Fleet Transition to Electric Vehicles – Driving Economic Development in SVG
Delivering remarks at the opening session, Legal and Regulatory Governance Specialist for the United States Agency for International Development – Caribbean Clean Energy Program Elizabeth Butler, who said the program is intended to empower local citizens, to implement their national objective for clean energy development.
Ms. Butler said there is great potential here for improving the quality of life for local citizens through the implementation of new technologies.
