Vincentians were urged to support the SVG Good Hearts Foundation, in its hosting of a Disaster Relief Benefit Concert this afternoon to assist people across the region who have been affected by Hurricane Irma.
Local Musician Rodney Small who is a member of the Foundation said that the concert is taking place at Heritage Square in Kingstown and began at 4:00 this afternoon.
Mr. Small says most of the members of the Foundation are musicians and they decided to hold live performances while receiving assistance from members of the public to assist the people affected.
He said this follows a smaller relief effort on Saturday, which was also held at Heritage Square and he appealed to Vincentians to support the effort.
Mr. Small said a long list of Entertainers will be performing at this afternoon’s concert including gospel, pop, reggae and soca artistes; backed by the bands Knetik and Vikings.
